RuneScape Mine 1-99 Guide
Mining may be one of Old School RuneScape’s simplest skills. There are a myriad of places you can go to practice the skill, but wherever you end up it’s an act of repeatedly hitting your pickaxe with rocks to get rid of ores and other things. These can then be used to make useful products by Smithing and Crafting.

199 F2P mining training
Levels 1-10 Doric’s Quest
Doric’s Quest is easy and gets you straight to 10 Mining. Because of how it is slow Mining is to learn, especially as a F2P, you should take advantage of this.
Levels 10 and 11: Copper/Tin Ore
Once you’ve reached level 10 Mining, get your pickaxe and begin mining 64 copper, or even tin ore to get to 15 Mining. It’s up up to you whether you drop them or not. In the early stages of the game, you can deposit them. Varrock West Bank is close enough to Varrock West Mine.
Levels 15-99: Iron Ore
Your eyes aren’t playing tricks with the user; F2P Mining choices are so minimal that you get access to the best training option at only 15 Mining.
If you’re only interested in your experience, then Al-Kharid Mine is the best option. Beware if your level is low Combat due to the fact that the scorpions of level 14 will attack you. Take some food with you and then kite them around until they stop attacking. There’s a spot in which you can mine three iron ore veins with no movement. Open your settings, toggle on the option of using shift and then left-click to drop the items you have in your inventory. Find iron in your inventory, drop them and repeat. With efficiency, you can get around 45,000-50,000 exp/hour. Yeah, that’s not great. But it’s Mining, and it’s F2P. That’s a double whammy.
If you’re looking for Mining exp and profits, you should go to Rimmington Mine. Rimmington Mine isn’t as great as Al-Kharidbut banks deposit boxes are close to in the Port Sarim docks. Mine an inventory of iron and then bank the iron at Port Sarim, and repeat. The rates of exp drop to around 20,000 to 30,000 per hour. Whatever method you decide to use it is necessary to mine more than 372,000 tons of iron ore to achieve 99 Mining.
Levels 14-99 Barronite
Training Mining can be an exhausting and draining process. If you’re looking to take an break, then barronite may be the right choice for you.
Complete Below Ice Mountain gives you access to the Ruins of Camdolzaal. With at minimum 14 Mining and Smithing, you can mine veins of barronite. Mining here is extremely AFK-friendly. That’s especially the case when you’re an F2P player since you can’t obtain every drop. You’ll mostly receive barronite shards, which can be stackable, and barronite deposits. You’ll only have to leave your location when barronite deposits make your inventory look cluttered.
In the event that this happens, head to the anvil near Ramarno to cut the deposits into chunks. Repeat the process. The Mining exp isn’t good however, you’re doing it since it’s AFK. If you’re considering becoming members, stacking up barronite fragments is great for tools like Imcando’s Hammer.
Levels 70-85: Adamantite Ore
While OSRS has a similar aesthetic to Runescape from the past, many changes have occurred. In particular, the cost of things. Adamantite ore isn’t what it used to be , and isn’t ideal for earning money. However, if you’d like to make money, go for an area called the Mining Guild or the Dwarven Mine at 70 Mining.

But if you’re looking to make an easy buck and require an quick GP Adamantite is a good option. Just mine the veins in the ore, hop worlds, and repeat. If you’re hoping to mine adamantite up to 85 Mining when you unlock runite, you’ll have to mine adamantite over 20,000 ore. If you’ve got the patience for that in F2P it’s a blessing.
Levels 85-99 Mining:Runite
Runite is the King of the castle made of rocky in OSRS and also makes good money. However, the risk is higher for F2P players, it’s extremely risky. The only place F2P players have the ability to mine for runite is the wilderness. It is not just extremely slow however, if you’re Pked, you’ll get nothing.
